Annual Meeting
Annual Meeting & Member Rally
The National NeighborWoods Academy™ provides formal training seminars and workshops to prepare more NeighborWoods organizers and extend project successes from coast to coast. The meeting features research about trees as a tool for community revitalization, nonprofit executive networking, grassroots program models, and NeighborWoods tools for community organizing. In addition, the NeighborWoods Luncheon recognizes award winners and exemplary nonprofit partnerships.Geared toward nonprofit executives, volunteer organizers, and community advocates, the ACT Annual Meeting & NeighborWoods Academy is a great way to energize and connect with others working to restore tree canopy and make communities better places to live.
The goals of the Academy are:
- To learn "what works" from ACT member organizations
- To promote the creation of new NeighborWoods programs
- To present best practices and cutting-edge research
- To foster ACT’s network of peers for collaboration and sharing
The proceedings of past NeighborWoods Academy are here: 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007
