2010 Sprint Community Champions Program

Deadline: May 17, 2010
Funded through the Sprint Foundation as part of the Sprint Local Giving Program, the Sprint Community Champions Program recognizes individuals who have made a positive impact in their community through volunteerism in the metro areas of Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, and New York City.

In each eligible metro area, the program will recognize one adult (over 18 years old) and one high-school student (9th-12th grade high-school students for the 2010-11 school year). Winners will be able to direct a grant to an eligible 501c3 nonprofit organization of his or her choice. The Sprint Foundation will award one $5,000 grant on behalf of the adult winner and one $2,500 grant on behalf of the high-school winner in each of the four metro areas.
Nominations should detail the individual accomplishments of the nominee in his or her local community and explain how the nominee has made a lasting positive impact on individuals and/or nonprofit organizations in the community. Self-nominations are accepted. Employees of Sprint and their immediate family members are not eligible to be a nominator or a nominee. Nominations must be submitted online.
