ACT’s annual member gathering is the place to network with other nonprofit leaders engaged in urban forestry. This year, ACT teams up with our partners California ReLeaf, California Urban Forests Council, and TreePeople to celebrate our grassroots in SoCal style.

ACT and our partner California ReLeaf are hosting the biggest grassroots urban forestry day ever on September 7 at the Hilton Pasadena. After that, stay for the 2006 California Urban Forest Conference, “Urban Forest Advocacy – Growing Possibilities”, jointly organized by ACT, California ReLeaf and the California Urban Forests Council on September 8 and 9 at the same location.

For those who arrive early, ACT and TreePeople are hosting a special service event on the afternoon of September 6, to prune and care for 75 trees in celebration of our national NeighborWoods partnership with The Home Depot Foundation and the launch of TreePeople’s exciting new parks restoration program, part of the vast effort to meet Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s challenge to plant 1 million trees in Los Angeles.
