Board Self Assessment Quiz- How Is Your Board Doing? Mel Gill, President, Synergy Associates Consultants in Governance and Organizational Development, is the author of the widely acclaimed book, Governing for Results: A Director’s Guide to Good Governance. In this session he will discuss the meaning of the term “Board Governance”; the value of doing a self assessment, how often should this be done, and available tools; as well as some key tips for ranking your board and improving its effectiveness.

This lecture will be presented, 2:00-3:30pm EST, at the Forest Service Headquarters in the Yates Building (Arts and Industry, red brick with clock tower) located on the corner of 14th and Independence Avenue. The closest metro is the Smithsonian (12th and Independence).
