Solutions for Water Pollution

August 22, 2009
Baltimore, MD
In everyone’s life, some rain must fall… and it always hits the roof, sidewalk, driveway, lawn, and street. Where does it go from there and how can we clean it up? Learn a variety of ideas to slow, capture and treat rainwater in different settings, to remove pollutants, and re-use the water nature sends our way. Learn how to use rain gardens, downspout gardens, rain barrels, and pervious paving, and inspire you with examples of green roofs and living walls that use plants to clean our water and air. Will you be one of the lucky participants to take home a new rain barrel?

Held at Herring Run Watershed Association, 3545 Belair Rd., Baltimore, MD 21213 from 9am to 12noon.
Pre-registration is required. To register, send your name, # attending which workshop(s), and contact info to: aahmaryland@audubon.org
